Note: First EVER Doctor Who fic so this is very new to me and HI! I'm new to this lovely community. I preemptively apologise for it potentially sucking as I'm not the greatest of writers. Post Journey's End, potential spoilers.

This has been reported on Outpost Gallifrey, but I've not seen it mentioned here - Journey's End achieved overnight viewing figures of 9.4 million viewers on average across its 65 minute duration (peaking, according to the 5-minute breakdown, at 10.7 million).

Sunday's Wimbledon final peaked at 12.7 million, but averaged only 7.4 million.

This puts the Doctor Who season finale at number 1 for the week - the first time the programme's ever achieved that position in the chart. Final figures will be released in about 1½ week's time.

Also, Journey's End achieved AI (Appreciation Index) figures of 91, again rather a staggeringly high figure.

Personally, I think celebration is in order. *g*

What's your go-to episode for when you feel depressed and need to cheer up a bit? Both New!Who and from the old series.

All I can think of right now is Tooth and Claw and Partners in Crime, maybe Boomtown and The Unicorn and the Wasp. Other than that...nothing!
